Raising NAD+ is real — the downstream payoff is the question
NMN does what it is designed to do at the biochemical level: independent evidence summaries note it can raise NAD+-related markers in the body.[2] Across the precursor field, the related compound NR has randomised evidence that it raises NAD+ and is well tolerated in older adults,[3] which strengthens the general case that precursors move the marker.
